Military touches were evident from double-breasted tailoring to shako hats, fused with the idea of majorettes and traditional sportswear, said the designer.
Dell’Acqua flitted from preppy fifties style separates complete with oversized collars and skirts worn with pumps, to retro and mod looks with monochrome shifts and elbow-length gloves. Later, autumnal plaids on shirts and jackets and a line of flatform creepers brought proceedings towards the twentieth century.
A retail hit will surely be the array of boyfriend-cut copped PVC pants, coming in high-shine black and camel. These were incorporated in to wearable casual outfits – covetable indeed. Heading towards the finale, ‘that glamourous night situation’ of Los Angeles influenced an selection of dresses. One understated strappy shift came with deep brown tulle covering an autumnal plaid, overlaid with a gold shimmering print of palm trees.
